2011 Iceman

I just completed the last race for the 2011 race season - The 2011 Iceman.  This is the largest point to point mountain bike race in North America with about 4000 races coming from all over the world.  It is always held the first weekend in November and the coarse goes from Kalkaska, MI to Traverse City, MI. (http://www.iceman.com/).

I competed in the 48 year old category and came in 14th place out of 81 riders with a time of 2:07:49.  This years time was almost 30 minutes faster than last year.  I can attribute this to a couple of factors, most being my increased level of fitness due to working with my coach for the past 11 months and because it was a very fast coarse this year.
